79 K5 H-Bomb build

Well, one part off to be rebuilt... 700r4s are spendy when you upgrade them! Sheesh. Guess that make me committed?

205s are everywhere. Just find a small bearing one and bore it.

Np205s are scarce around here lately... even the small bearing ones. When one does pop up they are inevitably 2hrs away and vanish quickly. I literally have a Craigslist set up whenever certain combinations/variations of “np205” are posted. I found the blue truck accidentally when when of those searches returned it me (it didn’t have a np205 though).

At one point I couldn’t get rid of them. Hauled a bunch of them away. After I cleared them all out, people started asking me for them

Thanks for rubbing it in.

I’ve called, begged, and pleaded with everyone I know for one. Hell, I called a buddy from high school that I haven’t talked in years for one.

Going up North today to help with a LS swap into an fj40... I’m going to hit up the locals there and see if there is anything I can dig up.

Adding the 205 in gets to be a BIG addition because it goes from a simple UPS box (granted an expensive UPS box but still only 50lbs or so) to a truck freight pallet. Finding your own 205 definitely pays off if you're willing to do the legwork and the cleanup and install work. I look at some of these truck freight bills and wonder if I should just take a vacation in something that gets good milage and deliver the darn things.

Ha! Oregon would love to have ya! We have plenty of areas to come explore.

Thanks for taking the time with me today and checking my rather slow and ever evolving build. I emailed you back a little bit ago.

Another question since this build thread is turning.... do I continue the 84 build here or start that new and continue the blazer here when it gets back on track (going to build the truck first)?

I would be willing to pack it up in individual boxes if need be. If it fits it ships!

The case isn't super heavy when it's empty.

Lol... Just noticed that your truck is an 84. Now, I'm going to have to go read your build... again. If you could go back, would you do anything different? Are you still liking the 52s up front?

only thing 84 is the cab. It's all the same really......

The 52's are budget friendly and work well for what I use the truck for. I'd obviously rather be on ORD springs or links. Would I do anything different? Probably however truck funds and dragging the project out longer than needed influences your decisions.
