Sorry man. I'll put a angle finder on it & get back to ya. So far my testing was just to drop the suspension & rotate the driveshaft to check for bind. I will get limit straps on soon & then do some more extensive testing under varying conditions. I'll probably clearance everything just for good measure also.

To me it looks like you need a bit more of a shim up front so when the pinion drops it won't be so far out of sync.

I ordered the highest degree shim ORD offered. That & I took my shackle length from 7" to like 4.5". I think it will work. If not I will adjust fire,,, again.

I might go ahaid & loose the "easy inch" also. I don't think I'll need it with 37's.

Actually just move the axle forward an inch. That will lessen the angle on the CV and improve the pinion to driveshaft angle.

Edit. Plus keep those 37s out of your footwell area.

Honestly I don't think I have an issue where I am at. If I do, i will do some work to the ujoints &/or adjust my limit straps. Ive already got my springs as far forward in my B52's as far as they will go. The drag link will start getting funky & my shock mounts will need moved if I move my axle again.

I was going to leave that alone after seeing the result of a "Gang Sign" thread...

:dunno:Going to go out on a limb here & say I burnt up my front pinion bearings. Decided to take a short joy ride before I started to work tonight & left the front end engaged,,,,, with no oil in the diff. Locked up on me at the 2 mile mark. No wheeling for me this weekend. Also I no longer endorse the Dorman 42171 headlight adjuster conversion. Pulled the adjuster apart as soon as I started to adjust my first light. I thought they were all steel, wrong! The threaded part is plastic. I got to work building my rear most body mounts towards the rear of the box. Using what material I had on hand I came up with this. It's not great looking & is way to heavy but it will get the job done.

Pinion is good & welded to the carrier. I BFHd it & she did not budge. Taking it & a new ring & pinion set to a local place to get it squared away.:doah:I also noticed that my diff cover it hitting my carrier cap! Not cool. Nothing a little grinding won't fix. Glad I noticed it.
