free hand all those circles? if so nice job! Love to get a plasma cutter but there not cheap for a decent one!

great deal on this truck...I'm jealous!

That's exactly why I don't have one, but have friends that do. The circles you see are templates for the torch. They take into account the tip and all that jazz to give you the end size you want.

made up the front recovery point today. Its two pieces of 3/8th plate stuck together with a 1" hole in the end. Bolted up in the three stock holes in the frame. Would have liked to have gotten the winch plate done too but I spent the first half of the day up in the mountains.

I underestimated the size of a 7/8 shackle. The hole isn't far enough out of the bumper to mount one up. Ill have to dish the bumper in a bit on either side of the mount.

I know it's kind of late but the throttle body is almost 4 inches in diameter, so a 4 inch 90* bend will work. And I see you have electric fans so you don't have to worry about the mechanical one being in the way.

Keep in mind though the mass air flow sensor is a smaller diameter than 4, I can't remember the exact size now though. I used some rubber tubing from vibrant to make my intake.

Also on the 6.0 swap I just did I used 2.5 inch mandrel bends to get past the tcase and then merged into a single 3 inch with a simple muffler and turn down. Then I put a vband on each pipe just before the tcase so the exhaust can be removed easily in 3 pieces.

Thanks for the throttle body size. The MAF is getting tuned out so I wont have to worry about that. The exhaust, I'm thinking I will cross over under the bell housing. The truck oil pan and transmission already hang down way farther than the bell housing so why not stick it there.

I'm not gonna lie to anyone, I steal a lot of engineering. No sense overthinking something
Anything I think of has probably already been done before. Maybe I can tweak and improve it a bit, but there is no reason to reinvent the wheel. Plus I told you on page one that I was steeling your shit.

Bumper has its fairlead, and the license plate relocated. I still need to dish it in a bit around the recovery point. Cant really wire up the winch until my driver side battery tray comes since I plan on running it off of that battery.

My gauges, ord motor mounts, and LS adapters came today. I need to look for a pin out of the factory gauge plug so I can steal some stuff out of it.

I have that pinout on my old phone. I'll try to get it posted up

I had a couple others that I used as well but this is the only one I could find. Hope it helps! My plan is to use the choke light in my factory tach cluster for the Check engine

Thanks again for the pin out. It was spot on for everything I needed except for one thing. on my truck my 4x4 lamp is a stand alone harness and not in the main plug.

Made a little bracket to hold the gauge controller, and started with the wiring. so far it all looks good. The only problem im having and its nothing new. I need to go through the turn signal/parking lamp system and clean grounds. I have some stray voltage in the system somewhere. Before it wasnt really a problem other than hearing my turn signal relay click a few extra times after turning off the lamps. Now however it is enough voltage to light up the LED indicators in the dash when the park lamps are on.

I'm glad that works for you! My 78 truck has a 79 cluster and It doesn't have the separate harness which is odd. But mine is a Frankenstein so the harness in mine may not be from 78. Them gauges look awesome, mind me asking what they set you back?
