(80 K25) "Nigel" 3/4Ton of Fun

so I found this flap in the passenger side cowl. This is a non air cab that has had factory air installed, so I have no idea what goes where. Its normally open and vacuum closed. I dont have any factory hvac stuff so its not hooked up, and I dont have a vent on the passenger kick panel. Am I good to just toss it? Or should I lock it closed?

You will just have air blowing in the pass floor vent all the time.

My pass floor vent is capped off for the vintage air kit. This flap spring loaded to the open position though, so its not blocking any air as it sits now. I can stuff the vacuum can full of washers so it stays close and bolt it back in.

things got done today. I installed a gentex mirror thanks to @dyeager535 now I have temp and compass in my mirror. unfortunately I suck at gluing mirrors so the second attempt is drying now. I put the temp sensor behind the driver headlight, and ran the wires up the factory loom. I also built my spare tire mount but no pictures of that, Ill get some tomorrow when the paint dries. I also installed my driver side battery mount, and figured out where I will put the PCM when that comes. tomorrow the plan is to install my accessory fuse box and start wiring up random junk.

I think I'm going to put my PS cooler here. Don't really need one, but when I go hydro assist later it will be nice to have.

If only this would work, Id be so happy. I'm half tempted to put the tires on my factory wheels just so I can run the caps. or paint the H1s white.

Today I put in some energy suspension trans mounts. Finished wiring up my sound system. . I am more than pleased with the sound quality and it only cost $100. Not having a head unit and running the amp off of my phone works perfectly and sounds great.. The spare tire mount turned out satisfactory, I did run out of black paint though

And dont you love it when websites have that "free shipping at $99" thing. It gives you a reason to splurge a bit. All my wiring projects should be covered now.

No building got done today... I spent the day cleaning the garage and rearranging things. The truck parked inside for the first time. Also, Is there supposed to be some sort of cover over the defroster vents? Mine are just open for everything to fall in.

I'd have to double check, but I think mine are open too.

Made a plate to cover the ash tray hole. Put in a 4.8 amp usb port and a led light. No idea what ill use the light for but I'm sure ill find something. Maybe an air compressor indicator. I also remembered I had this light bar on the shelf. I think it will have to go on the truck.

I'm probably in the minority, but I really do not like those LED light bars, in any size or location. They just ruin the lines of whatever they get bolted on to IMO.

Oh I agree, exactly why this is a thin single row and not the normal double. Ultimately function over form, the power draw vs light output makes it all worth it.

If it were mine, I think I'd try it behind the lower valance above the bumper and see what the light output looked like.
