Its time to order the parts to build and swap in my D60. Please let me know if I am forgetting anything to convert from dually to single wheel and swap in.
So far I'm thinking
Since my D60 has 4.56 gears Ill regear my 14b to 4.56. Hopefully that will motivate me to find a NV4500.
I just picked up a cheap set of Wrangler MT/Rs in 37x12.5R17. So I'm going to start looking for some 17" wheels. H2s or maybe just by once and cry once on some bead locks. I'm getting tired of these surplus tires. I can get them balanced out but it only stays for a few miles.
So far I'm thinking
- ORD cross over steering
- ORD weld in frame plate
- ORD extended brake lines
- U bolts
- 2" or 3" tuff country EZ ride springs
- 2 king pin rebuild kits
- 2 sets of inner and outer wheel bearings, and seals
- 2 SRW hubs, probably Yukon YHC63629 and drill out my dually rotors to fit hubs. Do you think I should spend the extra $60 and get the OEM hub/rotor assembly from ORD?
- I already have a spartan locker to drop in.
- Junk yard low mile 2WD steering box. Maybe splurge on a red head.
