80 k5 - frame off 6.0 LS swap

I'm sure you saw the headaches I have had with mine, doesn't help my truck is a basket case of years and combinations tossed together.

yup!!! i let my engine swap turn into a frame off, you let your engine swap turn into a full suspension rebuild..... it happens

I had them just make a new collector to pout it away from the trans. You can go back to 1/12 on my build to see the pic of when I got my headers.

I asked S&P to remake the collector, and made one and sent it to me. No issues at all, great customer service. I'd recommend them to anybody thinking about doing a swap.

Here are my solutions for spark plug wires and the dip stick. The dip stick is a Lokar flexible dip stick. Its shorter, so it shouldn't quite stick up like the factory one... an overall cleaner look.

I've started running fuel hoses.... any issues with my routing? I don't remember where they exactly ran from factory.

Fuel line routing? Into the gap between the frame and the tank and up the passenger side frame rail?

They are great.
The fuel lines should run down the passanger side frame. Then up the back of they tranny to the back side of the motor. Not sure what I posted pics of on mine on how I ran them.

I should have probably went with those headers. :doah:

Looking great, how did you attach it to the back of the trans bolt?

Nothing is attached to the trans bolt... I think you are seeing the bolt that holds the V-Band collar together.

Oh should have specified what I was thinking. Curious if Tek ran some type of holder off the trans bolt

I will have to look how I did it. But I think I used some of those rubber wire/hose hold down things.

Sic build first off!! I'm in the process of doin a 6.0 in my 83! I live 15mins from ft Campbell if u have time would like to come look at and get some opinions on my build I will message u my number

Helped Drew get his freshly painted rig in his garage. Some airing down the tires (rollers), some ratchet straps on the suspension, removing the garage door we squeezed her in there.

The rig is looking great. That engine looks like it belongs on this rig. Thanks for the beers.

boy, that's tight.. but dry at least! rig looks good...
