according to the eastwood catalog, the paint i used is the "better" and the 2k ceramic is the "best," so the finish would be just as good as mine or better. i think it just came out... i don't remember the 2k ceramic being available when i first started painting the front of the frame, so i was committed.
does this look like a crack in the frame? i hit with a stripper pad on an angle grinder to remove all the paint/rust.... so it may just be a grinder mark. take a look. this is the passenger side shock mount on an 80 k5. the mark in question is right to the left of the shock mount. it does not connect directly to the shock mount... it stops short.
