80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

That two tone is nice but it says "Chevy" just a little to much for this build.

That's a good looking color.
Ya I'm not sure how many years GM used this color but mine is a 2000 Tahoe. I think if you added a little more flake it'd really make it pop!

Edit: So as to not clog up your build thread with pics of my 'Hoe, see my quasi-build thread: Wheels For My Tahoe, Round 2

That's pretty close to what I'm looking for. Even just a hair darker. Bottom of mine will have a bit of bedliner on it to keep the rock chips away.

Actually it says "GMC"...:pimp1: sorry I couldn't resist.

Build is looking great.

Noted!

Got the radiator core support set in place tonight.

Got a lot of work I can do now. Finish up all the body mounts, I can mock up the intercooler, radiators and such. Cage work can continue.

So much to do!

Kert Mercedes Benz and BMW have some cool greys/ silvers

I'll probably end up staring at a paint chip book for a couple evenings to make my decision.

Got some time to think about that though. Every once in a while, a brighter color will flash in to my mind. Like a hugger orange or something like that. And still, once in a while, i'll try to picture it in a khaki color.

I would normally support a bright color. But on this the understatedness of the whole rig fits a darker silver perfect although I would do a metallic to give it some pop

Nice set of air bushings for the core support! I bet that smooths out the bumps in the road.

Yep, I figure if the body just hovers over the frame there'll be less vibration!:D

Had to set it up this way so I could visualize some options for mounting the core support. Currently the bolt holes for the body mounts are right above the frame rails rather than off to the side like our old Chevy's usually are. Which was expected of course. This is the second of the two major drawbacks to not narrowing the front of the frame rails.

I haven't slid the body mounts between the core support and frame yet. Got a couple different options though.

Hope to be able to spend some time on this sort of thing this weekend.

On another note, the second new product coming from this build is in the works!

Got stuck here for the evening. Need another set of hands or a box lifting device. Might build the box lifter tomorrow.

Shot from the rear just because...
