80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

grill has grown on me... be interesting to see the final rendition...

Horns are useless and I personally think NO car should have one..... so if it's audible it's more than loud enough:waytogo:

C'mon, you've had to of used your horn to get a friends attention or flag a person down at some point.:D

Pins look good.

They are pretty beef. 5/8" diameter pin up through the hood. Put them a bit narrower than I have in the past. Seems like normally with them out to the sides the center wants to pull up a bit at speed so I stepped them in a bit.

Hope is a good thing. Maybe misplaced in this instance.

Not a lot of changes. Some slots were removed, a place to mount the winch power cable quick connects was created and the only real visual difference will be the trim rings we are adding purely for aesthetic value. If they have aesthetic value or not is up for debate.

I think it would be fine i f you were to cut a crossbar into it with a bowtie in the middle. Like a mid 80s chevy. Like I said mimicking a chevy grill...

Oh lord Kert don't tell these tards anything is up for debate, you'll leave yourself wide open for extensive thread padding...:D

I don't mind hearing other peoples ideas. Some of them are pretty good ideas.

nope... only time I can even think of that ive used a horn is a couple of times to scare little children that I thought were too close to the road... and once when I had a deer that just wouldn't get out of the dam road... think he WANTED to die lol.

I've unhooked a lot of them in past vehicles even.

All they do is breed roadrage and annoy people... just my humble opinion though:waytogo:

But.... It's not a Chevy. At least not in my eyes.

So, you are sitting at a stop light and the person in front of you isn't paying attention and is instead playing on their phone and doesn't realize the light has turned green. What do you do, just simply wait until the light cycles around again and hope they are done playing on their phone by then?

I don't use my horn often but when I do there is a good reason and not to invoke road rage.

What was that someone said about thread padding?

C'mon Superman.... Time for the grill pics already. :D

Oh, and the pins look nice. I like the spacing. :waytogo:

OK I'll bite. What is it?

Well....

Chevy built a short box, which in my mind has a box and cab that are separate from each other. This one won't be.

Like a suburban, the back will be attached and enclosed. But much shorter than a suburban so not really one of those either.

So, maybe like a blazer.... But the top is not removable. That is the quintessential quality of a blazer. That's what makes it what it is. The newer ones where the top doesn't come off... Those are not really blazers in my opinion and neither will this be.

It does have some chevy sheetmetal and the axles are Chevy but that's where the Chevy parts end. It has a Cummins engine and a getrag transmission. Transfer case was built by New process. I built the frame and not exactly matching to the Chevy dimensions.

Suspension is all aftermarket. Two of the springs match a chevy application and the other two do not.

Pretty much the entire interior is aftermarket.

So, to answer your question... Not really sure what it is, but not as much a chevy as someone might think on first glance.

Well I get that. So just put a cross bar with the diy logo in the center:waytogo:
