80's short box, "S.E.R.E." Box permanently attached to the cab.

OH, and for posterity sake, we cut 2.5" from the bed floor and inner box sides. nothing was removed from the outer box sides. Basically separated the inner from the outer on the front most edge of the box side. Smoothed it out and used that extra 2.5" as overlap.

This is the one I got. It's pretty effortless. less than a minute per flare I'd guess.

One of the best I've got. love this tool, so easy.

What's the plan on wheel well openings? Will they line up ok or will you have to cut them out and adjust where they go?

Sweet idea by the way. Reminds me of the Ford uni's

So that's an Eastwood brake line tool? After 20yrs struggling with a part store POS the lines on the Burb did me in. I'm ready for new. Liking the unibody.

quick question: Why the unibody? Just for the look, or to try something new, or is there a benefit you are going for?

They are off quite a bit but some trimming may be all that is required to get a better look out of it. We'll see how that goes in the near future.

What's the plan for the back? Suburban barn doors?
I hope.

Nope, doing a tail gate but got something kinda cool planned here. More to come on that in the near future as well.

there are a few benefits. I like blazers but the wheel base is a bit on the short side, that in mind, starting with the short box and then stretching the wheel base a tad in the front and rather than stretching it in the rear, move the body forward gets you a better departure.

Secondly, the interior space, I find it hard to camp out in the back of a blazer. Just a bit on the short side. I'm not tall by any means but tall enough, I can't stretch out. Of course there is the additional cargo space and some pretty in depth storage plans.

I don't think "Unibody" is the correct term here. To me, that suggests a non full frame vehicle which this is definitely full frame and then some.

I was thinking you could use sort of the method Dave did on the maiden for the wheel opening. Cut the wheel well out of the bed side, remove a strip out from behind equal to what you need it moved. Weld back in and put the strip you pulled out infront of the well. You could stretch the opening a touch if you wanted while you were at it

Wow, blurry pic. Well, took it on the move. What can I tell ya!
