Diy4x, yea there pretty stout and work great. Yea should of been doing the wireing and fixing other odds and ends this summer but the friggin burban has been getting more attention then I should giving it. And taking all my money trying to get it to be the most reliable vehicle I got. If phoenix engine didn't screw me over the k5 would be in a better place.

Yay the k5 has brake lights again! Also found the tierod end on my drag link was shot. It's seized in there pretty good. Probably going to buy all new drag link and rod ends. Use this one as an emergency spare.

Running maintenance on the k5 and this draglink end put up one hell of a fight. Ended up breaking it, got an all new respect for the husky pipe wrench. Even did heat cycles cooking it for 30+ mins with propane torch.til grease turned to oil.IMG_20180108_202825_420.jpg IMG_20180108_202825_421.jpg IMG_20180108_182840896~2.jpg

Sorry man not something I know right off the top of my head and it turned into shit show today. The leaf spring pack pin sheared and was stuck in d60 housing. Upper bushings where shot too and that broke drag link end isn't going any where.....IMG_20180109_125002190.jpg IMG_20180109_125008676.jpg IMG_20180109_125013128.jpg

Very good chance that's in the future...first I need a shop that the k5 will fit in. I'm done doing big build/jobs in the drive way in the elements. I get to frustrated working around mother nature or in the wind.

Here's the bolt I welded to drag link trying to get it out. Ended up bending it then broke off. And it's like 25mph wind gust

That's how mine was built and my patience is gone for a full blown outdoor build. Lol and when I do links it may all go on my burb instead since it has a straight frame.

Only reason I'm going to links is because of the ride. I've always ran bastard pack springs and cheap shocks so that may have contributed. Leafs have enough flex for me but I never got a ride I was happy with.

And I feel your pain for outdoor builds. Did it for many years and many different vehicles. Drag race cars to off road rigs were all winter builds in gravel driveways, upgraded to tarp enclosure and plywood floors. I lucked out and am dating a great woman now with nice house and decent barn I turned part of it into a garage lol.

Yea I don't got the patience anymore to do a decent build outsode. Now that I got a small 2 car garage and was able to build my jet skis and dirtbikes, and sxs. now I'm spoiled. I feel like I can take my time and and not have to worry about cleaning up before it snows/rains or wind blows shit away. So hopefully in about 2-3 years I'll have a shop once I get a few debts paid off.
