82 K20 CREW "WONTON"

Which bell housing are you using on the NV4500? The 95? An older SM465 bell? Advanced Adapters?

I'm using the 95 nv4500 bellhousing

Me too. I'm putting an 8.1/NV4500 (4500 out of a 95 as well) in my 89 crew cab right now. I hear so many people who say don't use the original NV4500 bell cause of the slave cylinder location, but I think it will be totally fine. Looks real good dude. Keep it up. I'm liking what you NE guys are building out there!!

From the sounds of reading through this, the NV4500 was already in the rig when you purchased right? Do you have a pic of the 4" lift and the driveshaft to slave clearance?

I've got the trans back in the truck now, I can throw the front driveshaft in and get a picture for you

Here are a few pictures of the new rear frame. I wanted to get the wheelbase as close to a regular cab long box as I could without looking odd. The frame is 2x4 .120 tubing, I used 63in 1/2 ton springs with ballistic fabrication front spring hangers on the bottom of the frame rail and creeper joints in the rear with 6in shackles. Incorporated the inboard shock crossmember into the k5 gas tank mount. The front crossmember is tied into the body mounts. The current wheelbase is 141, but that will change when I do my 52in front swap and move the front forward.

Can't wait to see more pics.

I'm gonna ditch the frame back there too.

But I will end up being longer than you

1. Nice work
2. I still feel like eating Kung Pao
3. More pictures of the 68!

Get those fronts working good and that thing is gonna be awesome.

I like flex joints in the rear suspension but I know a couple guys who have complained about some shifting.

Interested to see how you like em
