Because I'm stubborn, I desperately tried to package a front 4-link with crossover steering into my truck....I tried EVERYTHING that I could think of and just couldn't make it work.

Admittedly there are some axle-shifting issues with a 3-link geometry, but when designed properly it's only at the extreme limits of articulation anyway, so it's largely irrelevant. You may end up wasting 100s of hours trying to design a decent 4-link only to end up with a 3-link anyway....given how long it can take to build suspension from scratch, you may want to claw-back those hours sooner rather than later.....you will still need them!

Thanks for the advice! I'll probably stick with the 3 link, but put it on a new frame and take my time on it. Glad to see you posting, and on my crappy blazer none the less! Haha! Hope you are getting better.

Well I suppose I'll swap in the 52s tonight. It's 23 degrees here. No heater and no glow plugs. Started right up.

Yeah, grid heater wasn't plugged in is what I meant haha, I thought it was, but apparently both end of the extensions cord have to be hooked to something.

Also, I stared at the blazer for about 2 hours, started making a new crossover bar out of a Dana 44 tie rid. Did a terrible job. Laughed. Went and got another Dana 44 out of my pile. Took that tie rod off, started on another one. Got tired. Girlfriend came and picked me up.

I didn't get much done in the last... 5 hours.

Haha I did the same tonight. Worked on the truck a bit, got side tracked, built an AR15 for a friend.

Now you confusing me even more!
Grid heater wouldn't need extension cord? It's wired off the battery. Only block heater would need extension cord.:dunno:
I'm so confused. Either way it started so happy days.

A friend posted looking for a set of lift springs, I got them sold before I even got them out. Not bad, also got the crossover bar finished up, I'll post pictures tonight, or whenever I find my laptop
