'83 K5 6.2L Diesel 64" rear springs. 3/4 ton axles. rear discs. Boring but works!

I just love how beautiful it is in southern Utah. That second pic almost looks like you put the blazer in front of a green screen and put that awesome background in digitally.

Bumpers look sweet too. :D

Yes it is beautiful here, kinda crazy when I just look around and think" man I work here".

Anyone out there ever add a center jump seat to the front instead of the console? Like maybe one out of a newer Silverado or super duty? I haven't check any dimensions yet but I gotta make it a six seater so the whole family can fit. My factory buckets are mint and I like the flip forward pass seat.

I haven't, but I'd love to see what you come up with. I've been thinking about something like that for awhile too.
Will do, It's gotta happen soon or the fam can't all go with wheeling. I'll check my super duty first and see what it looks like width wise.

Something like this? It flips up with a seat underneath. Also the seat flips up with another lockable storage compartment. Its from 07+ Chevy trucks and suv's
Yeah that's exactly what I'm looking at doing. The one I saw on eBay had the seat belts attached to it too. I figure pull out my console and put one of those in with a little bracket fab if it will fit.

Made an appointment for a new windshield on next Tues, amazed they still offer them with the antenna in the glass. Also fabbed up a rear shock mount crossmember, I'll post pics when I get a chance. All it needs after that to be legal is a driver side wiper arm and wipers and I need to get it inspected and registered. I've got a small list of regular repairs to chip away at then like normal maintenance items and stuff on a truck that's 33 yrs old and been sitting over ten yrs. My high beam bulbs glow dimly when low beams are on. I'm guessing a bad ground. Also left turn signal doesn't work properly when lights are on.

I would put lots of money on the ground being an issue. I just went through the same issue with mine last spring.

Had a similar issue on the lights, ended up being the switch. I would start with the ground though.

What's the price on the new glass? I junkyarded the last one

Through Rick's Glass here in moab using whatever small work discount I get it is $215 plus like $15 for new lock strip. He said the antenna ones are cheaper cuz there's more of them out there. I just had an 06 super duty done at work and it was $215 also.

I can't remember if I checked the radiator support grounds already but maybe I'll just get a switch too from Napa. I think they pretty cheap.

Ouch. The last one I bought was $95.

Martin
Yeah I didn't bother calling anywhere out of town cuz it's not registered and I would have to haul it to grand junction. Not worth the hassle. That's why I'm prob gonna move outta this place next year, way to spendy living here.

Does that price include a new seal? Seems like mine was around $100 but they reused the seal which ended up costing them more because I had to take it back twice due to leaks. Next them I may just do the new seal too and be done with it. I think with a new seal it pushed the price up around $200.

No my seal is pretty soft still and the owner at the glass shop said the seals usually don't need to be replaced just the lock strip. We'll see but I sure hope for no leaks .
