I did learn that my truck is really gutless for anything other than crawling on the rocks and open diffs suck.

I remember why I hate mud after every end of winter wheeling trip when the snow is melting and trails are muddy. For months afterward I get a face full of dirt working under the truck. Despite my efforts to clean it off.
Finally got my shop squared away enough to park my junk inside and start working on stuff.

Thanks, there's a mud bog here on sat at some private farm but I might just skip that after already cleaning up from the little bit I hit Sat and start tearing into my front spring swap. Plus the mud sucks when you have no power and open diffs.
I just hate mud. There is no need to justify if you dislike it. It's understood.
What is your floor painted with? Very clean shop
I used to love it but that was back when I didn't care so much about getting my stuff spotless and keeping it nice and easy to work on underneath. Maybe I need a dedicated POS mud truck LOL
Thanks, I need to get better lighting and paint the separate room I will call my "rebuild room".
It is a Behr Premium one part epoxy concrete and garage floor paint from Home Depot tinted to a really light gray. I went with it because it was not the super expensive nice stuff but not the crappy cheap stuff either. It really brightens the place up. I also did the attached two car garage where my wife parks. Seems to hold up fine so far to driving on it. I cleaned it and primed it the way they said and did a few good coats. I do know it doesn't like gasoline, my kids four wheeler leaked some overnight and it started to peel and I hurried and cleaned it up and it seems ok. Just some slight peeling.
That's actually a good idea. That's what it is, I get sick of cleaning it off to work on it.
Yeah when you work on vehicles all day every day then you really hated it when they are covered in mud.
Having a hoist has minimized that for me. That and I make sure I stop by a car wash before I get home, then hit it once more with a power washer.
Mama took the kids to go watch her cousins kids play baseball in Pocatello and I was on early shift today so after 2 hrs of lawn mowing it was blazer time. I got it in the shop and on some stands and pulled the front springs. I moved my fush back to the factory location and swapped the rear ORD bushings over to my new springs. I was going to just put it together but the ORD heavy duty shackles and bushings are already set up to be grease able I just need the bolts. I might as well do the front grease able bushings too so my front and rear suspension is fully grease able. Oh and one shock has lost its gas charge so I need some new shocks too. I'll have to check, I might have some that will work for now.
Coulda been if I just put it together without nicer parts. So nice to finally have a shop. I just need a better compressor and some welding stuff.
