Better safe than sorry. I know my wife would have been freaked out.
View attachment 258291Swapped my tires back on. Much better. I love this thing. I really need to do some work on it so I can use it more.
Yeah if I ever have them apart I might try modifying things to get them to work a little better. For now I'm just doing the minimum on stuff til I get a house and garage again. I need to start collecting parts to replace my entire power steering system before Blazer Bash. That tends to happen with the greasable bolts. I have one I can't get grease in now and it's happened to me on other projects.
I was browsing power steering parts on Rock Auto(I will most likely buy through my local Carqwest or Napa). Should I try to change my steering gear input seal for less than 10 bucks or do a reman gear for like $125 or so? I've done tons of input seals on semis so no biggie on actually doing it just not sure if it will actually fix it? Also does anyone know the correct spline or part number for the steering shaft coupler? I'm seeing two different ones listed through them.
Good to hear. I don't want to do a new 4wd box in case I go to cross over some day and I don't want a 2wd box cuz I'm not ready for cross over. Guess I'll try a seal when I get around to replacing all my steering stuff soon.I don't know about the spline count, sorry.
I have changed the input seal on several leaky boxes and had it be a successful repair. Mine is leaking right now too. I'm planning to rebuild my whole box and drill/tap for hydro assist.

@LNielson found you a cab, wish I had money and time for it now. It would combine perfect with my crew cab 2wd dually.
