So how's the new caliper?

Ruffstuff swapped out the caliper and that solved the problem. Brakes are working pretty damn good, in fact the fronts are squeaking like they use to under the old frame.

I ran some wire up to the trans cooler, drove it around for 45 minutes or so but the trans never got hot enough for the switch to activate the fan.

Played around with the gear boxes some more, love that double low but even just the 241 low is nice with the 5.13's.

Pretty substantial step to the 241 and 5.13 for sure. Didn't get to do any super climby stuff with mine, but it's pretty cool

Good stuff on the caliper

it is, the th350/205/4.10/37" combo really sucks in comparison.

Need to go find somewhere I can lock in 4 low and play around for a bit.

How did you wire your fan up? I still need to do mine.

Just ran fused power to the Derale temp switch, out the switch to the fan. Then I ran the fan ground into the cab so I can turn it off when the truck is turned off. In a perfect world I'd have a ignition hot kick a relay on but I don't have time for that right now.

MOM!

MAT'S PICKING ON ME!

As the older brother this sounds familiar

I have the derale relay, think I might cheat and do what you did.

I wish mine would come on earlier. I think for the days in Moab I'm going to jumper the switch out and let the fan run all the time. Not like it won't warm up anyway.

Yep. I was jumping mine last night within screwdriver to make sure the circuit worked.

I had that derale unit on the 76, I tore that fu©ker off this July and ran a 2 dollar switch.

I the amp load on the switch probably isn't enough. But it doesn't get hot.
I felt like the DeRay unit didn't turn on soon enough. Or my gauge is furbar.

I'll fix the gauges with new stuff, and I'll have to revamp the whole cooling system for 600hp anyway.
