Right on... those 205s are freaking heavy and put a lot of stress on the front adapters. The previous owner of my 203/205 adapter broke because the 205 wasn't being supported well.

Just wanted to make sure you had considered it... which you have. :)

I just remembered something I wanted to suggest. Whenever you go to tie in your rear case support don't use a bushing like I did. It's not a good idea to have a bushing supporting another bushing. I hard mounted my crossmembers and therefore used a bushing at the case support but since you already have bushings at your crossmember you'll want to hard mount that rear case support.

Thanks for bringing that up, it was something I was debating but I figured those mounts are so damn stiff it wouldn't matter :dunno: It would be easy enough to solid mount to the DIY4X plate however I definitely want it to unbolt at the case so I can drop that crossmember easily.
 
You can still make it removable independently, just use a flange like DIY4X's six shooter or a tube disconnect like for an engine cage.
 
Stopped by ruffstuff, grabbed some flanges and 1.75" DOM. Came up with this...
