Fittings?!?

Youre lucky you have the tap.

I only buy bolts from Ace Hardware. BLows and Homeless Depot arent even worth the effort

I bought the NPT tap online a while ago for another project, no way the local stores would have that.

For bolts I use ACE, however I've been ordering in bulk from McMaster-Carr primarily for this project.

I use Ace some. Also McMaster for my favorite grade 8 serrated flange bolts and nuts in bulk.
There's also a local supplier called Tool & Anchor Supply; their price is typically better than Ace.

@bent72, there's a Tool & Anchor in Denver.

Theres lots of places in Denver, which is nice. 4 bolt shops within a mile of my work

we have a place out in Sacramento that sells hardware by the pound but it's far enough that I rarely go there. It's not worth my time unless I need some wheels or other odd ball stuff they sell.

Tractor Supply is my go to for grade 8 if i just need a couple things, but they don't have certain sizes and very limited nylock nut selection. I find myself buying more and more hardware from Ebay, especially when i need bulk quantity like for diy beadlocks.

Were very spoiled here in the Midwest. I'm normally within about 30 minutes of a few different farm stores or a Fastenal. And I get a good deal on CAT hardware at work which helps.

Loving the progress though, makes my truck look like complete Hackery

Honestly I'm glad not to have a bunch of fastener places nearby because that would mean I was living in an urban area, not the rural area I prefer.

Lots of coolness in your pictures! :waytogo:

For sure this will be one of my favorite trucks on here...it already was.

I love short boxes.

Thanks, much appreciated.

Booked our cabins this morning for Blazer Bash 2017, no pressure :yikes:

Not sure if I mentioned this earlier or not..... but with the exhaust routing down the drivers side it was too difficult to keep the OE shift linkage so I decided to go with an art carr-winters shifter.
Ordered that from Poly Performance this morning

Rock Crawler with the flush mount option (regular shift pattern)

I've loved mine. I did melt the cable once; unintended consequence of removing the catalytic converter heat shield because it was rattling and I don't have a cat. Didn't realize it was also shielding the shifter cable. Now I have a heat shield insulation sleeve thing on it.

Where have you been getting your exhaust bends? All from summit? I'd like to get a 3 inch S bend but everything I've found on summit is gigantic in length.

I have some some thermo-tec sleeve that I could use, probably a good idea as it's going to get a little warm....thanks for the suggestion.

Have any extra room in the cabin for blazer bash?

good chance we can, I'm not even real sure on the head count right now but I wanted to lock down the accommodations. We arrive Thursday the 7th and leave Sunday the 10th. We'll grab a hotel on the road Sunday night.
