He may be from California but he doesn't assume he is always right. He listens to people with experience. If you think new parts are always better, good for you. I am trying to save him money. I would rather replace the rotators with spacers, get better valve springs, or do a 3 angle valve job with a back cut. Of course it is just my opinion but I have more than a few engine builds under my belt. Of course bein that Is embreed, I much appreciate you schoolin me on all the knowledge you city slickers dun gots. I'm just a simple cuntree bouy.

Look im not trying to be an asshole but youre turning your nose up to every comment ive made along with making blank statements that may as well be non sequitur. You might have all kinds of experience but it doenst give you a license to be right in every situation. You took a shot at me because im from California....how typical. You know not everyone out here is a liberal who knows nothing about anything right? I really cant stand that people automatically assume that about us. Sorry if I dropped the typical inbred bomb on you, it was well deserved after the California statement.

Oh and genius isnt spellt genus.

I am so glad you didn't tell me I was stupid till now, thankfully they will still let me get my engineering degree next weekend. If it had been a week earlier I would have wasted 4 years!

I ordered the head bolts assuming I would need them based on the crap I've ran into so far :D I agree about the bolt quality these days being poor in general. I bought a set Manley bolts.

Onto the grade 8 comment, I understand those are harder but is that an issue for a crank pulley bolt? In theory the bolt doesn't do shit once the balancer is on because of the press fit.

I was correcting my spelling and decided to delete it. It was a little too far.

.
Usually a 454 has such tight fit on the balancer it will about break the balancer puller. When the heads come off take a photo of the piston and measure deck clearance at tdc.

Yeah the puller got a work out yesterday. I'll check the deck height tonight and report back. Pistons are flat with reliefs and a 20 stamped on them, saw that through my camera yesterday.

California is fine except for the politics and the emissions. Notice how all the Californians have moved to Utah and Colorado wrecking those states.

Ya 7.8 to one compression. Horrible but they can still be made to run OK.

Also that bolt galled because they used the bolt to pull on the damper.

Wow, that does have some lope to it!

Thirsty bitch

As in they used it to push the harmonic balancer on?

Sounds short on compression

.034 deck height

Squirt squirt! Pre body lift level days?

Maybe, that was earlier on when it had the other exhaust. I quieted it down a lot with the other bigger mufflers.
