Got back yesterday from my 2.5 week business trip, took an early flight home so I could be home in the afternoon, ended up sleeping 12 hours last night and spent the next 10 in the garage in 100+ heat.
- Installed the Vacuum brake pedal and bracket I bought from eBay. I'm not getting a firm pedal using my mighty vac.
- Received my rebuilt steering box from west Texas Offroad. That's installed and bled along with the steering linkage and column
- Installed a fluid sight on the np205 and filled it.
- Hooked up the JB fab shifters, not sure what's going on but my front rail won't shift. Might be the adjustable detent is too tight but I can't get a socket on it with the tight clearance against the floor. I was able to shift them on the bench so I'm not sure what the hell is going on.
- Hooked up the winters shifter which took way longer than it should have. I wasn't getting enough throw from the shifter so after some Google-fu I found a thread on pirate talking about it the directions are ass backwards. Flipped it all around at the transmission, made a couple small adjustments and it's money.
- Ran the engine and verified the fans are working, played around with the idle and IAC steps and got those where I want them. Engine and the magnaflow sound good. Fans are set at 185 which kept the engine temp under 190 in 100 degree heat at idle.
- Cut down another fuel neck and got that mounted in the bed. I want to build a sheetmetal box around it later but that's not a priority right now.
If I can get a brake pedal I'll be driving it tomorrow. I want to play around with the shifters more and get that sorted. Also need to flex the suspension and get my front driveshaft ordered Monday.
