Thanks guys. The weekend away with some friends helped get our minds off it a little. Time will heal.

Ah man is that Dave's blazer?? I thought it was red

Yeah that's Dave's and it's always been white.

The truck did awesome, no major issues so I'm pretty damn happy considering how fresh the build is. I'll update the thread with some notes and a list of small things to address before the next run. @bmxbryant9 rubicon run?

Does that happen to be Bowman Lake?

Yes it is. I think we talked about this area once before because it's an area you also frequent. We also went up to sawmill and faucherie. Even with bowman road washed out (closed) below the damn there was a ton of people up there. Friday night there was about 20 tacos that came rolling in, every one with a light bar on, couple of which came down into our campsite :doah:One of them got stuck and hit a tree, I had to remind him lockers before light bars:rotfl:

You did right by him for a long time. He sounds like a good pup.

Truck looks great in its natural habitat.

David

Thanks David

This just looks oh - so - right.

Hahaha!

I have been there once. And I vaugely remember the convo too. Took my then 8 month pregnant wife on trails connecting Truckee to Nevada City with as little amount of road as possible. Arrived at Bowman from Jackson Meadows Rsvr. Have wanted to go back since but haven't had the chance.

Glad to see your trip was a success and already making more plans! :waytogo:

I think I can swing it. I just need to finish my skid plates, sliders and a few other odds and ends. Want to go in/out loon? Not sure I want to make the hike all the way down 80 but I can if needed.

Man, great shots. That's a decent payoff if you ask me.

And I love your wheels. That is all.

Thanks Greg

Sounds like you went through the little town of Washington like we did. I want to make that drive all the way up to truckee, haven't done that yet.

It's awesome seeing the truck out and it looks killer.

Did you get those shocks mounted?

This big bad bitch showed up. Hopefully it doesn't interfere with crossmember too much.....

Is that one of those fancy HAD ones? So jealous. Great to see it moving. You are welcome to come up here to Oregon and motivate me to finish mine. :)

I'd really love to make it down there (Rubicon) someday and wheel it with some full size guys. Been my dream since I got into wheelin (and Moab).

Yes it's a High Angle Driveline shaft, one of his machined flanges and a 1410 D60 yoke. It's a heavy bitch.

You need to finish your rig and come down, we have plenty of room here and I'm about a 45 min drive to Georgetown.

Nice. I had him make a couple for my old Land Cruiser and was impressed. I'll probably go with something like that for mine.

Seeing yours on the road again makes me super jealous... as soon as this heat dies down, I'll get back the shop. If you ever make it up here to Oregon... we also have room and some trails that would be fun to run. Nothing like the Rubicon but fun all the same.
