Thanks. On the steering issue, have someone turn the wheel left/right as you watch from below. Look for anything loose, sloppy or out of the ordinary. Took me all of 3-5 seconds to see the issue....
I did it's all new even the steering box but I'll figure it out
 
Check your rear springs as well. I spent a lot of time chasing a front end problem on my wife’s pickup and it was actually in the rear suspension. My crawler had a similar issue to yours though and it ended up being the ram. It was a little loose on both joints and the slightest movement of the steering wheel would kind of hammer the ram through the slop and in the joints. I don’t know if that makes sense?

Mine didn't show with that.
I ended up finding slightly lose ubolts, made a huge difference, then finally checked the bearings, and tightening them fixed.
Now I can let someone else drive it.
 
.........that was a sarcastic comment it looks plenty thick enough.

It’s more about the support under the plate than the material itself right? I know I need to addd a little more but I wanted some transmission pan protection for the run this week.
 
that plate is thicker then mine, mine has done fine. You will find that it doesn't really get hit to often. Short wheelbase with big tires and a big lift going to clear a lot of things.

I agree with this statement. My F150 is only solid axle swapped on 35’s and I never once touched my rock sliders or belly in rocks down in Disney. But I also don’t care about mine like you do yours so that’s likely why I got lucky
