The lakes and a lot of the land is owned by PG&E. There’s also a fair amount of private property up there.

There's a handful of videos on YouTube of guys trying to cross when the water flow is too high there... good entertainment.

Yep. I have more video, some of the guys really struggled with the flow.

By the way when they do the event they ask pg&e to lower the flow for crossing the duration of the event.

yes I'm aware, for Sierra Trek specifically. We we're hoping they would lower the flow this past weekend in preparation for Sierra Trek but no such luck.

One of these days I will make a trip down there to run Fordyce and the Rubicon. When I lived in Fallon my rig was not setup to run either of them.

you were pretty close too. Next June there's going to be a unofficial CK5 rubicon run, @mrk5 is coming out from Colorado.
