Beater/ light wheeler
It was crude, but I just welded the slides from my old seat to the new one with some 1/8” flat stock as a spacer. It seems to be solid.

Last weekend the fuel pump started leaking on this, so I pulled it in the shop tonight. I put in a new fuel pump, changed the oil, and did a full tune-up up. The valve cover gaskets have been weeping for about a year, so I threw on some Goodwrench 350 valve covers with Fel-pro gaskets. I also added an Edelbrock air cleaner. Not much of a project, but it was all overdue.

This thing got quite the workout on Friday. The day started with my main truck dropping a liner 10 min into my day, before I can even deal with that my phone rings. One of my trailers blew a tire around 5am an hour and 20 min north of me. Since I was truck-less I took off in the K20 and threw a spare on the trailer. After that I rushed home to go buy a spare semi 1.5 hours away. I got the semi rushed straight to my trailer and went to cover the load I missed earlier that morning. I successfully got the load of hogs loaded and delivered. On my way home the new (to me) semi blew a steer tire. My buddy drove the K20 about 100 miles to come rescue me. Good day for the 84 K20 not a good day for trucking.

Ouch

One of the glass packs developed a really bad leak the last time I used this. I’ve been meaning to quiet this down for a while anyway, so I threw on a set of flow master mufflers. They quieted this down a lot; it’s a lot nicer to drive now.

Doing my own repairs is how I justify my gm truck addiction!
You are talking about the big rig repairs right?
That's the only way I was able to survive trucking for 12 years while still having a semi normal family life, by doing my own maintenance and repairs
