You are talking about the big rig repairs right?
That's the only way I was able to survive trucking for 12 years while still having a semi normal family life, by doing my own maintenance and repairs
Yes sir I’ve never paid a shop to do anything in the 8 years I’ve done this. I’m in the middle of an in-frame on my main truck currently. It’s pretty sad that I can buy a spare semi and all of the parts for a rebuild and still come in under half the price of a shop doing the whole rebuild.

It's even more important when you can fix your problems on the road in the middle of nowhere

In-frames are nuts now days. Had to get one done at work and I couldn't believe the cost compared to like 12 yrs ago when I was the one doing them for customers.

The radio hasn’t worked in here since I’ve owned it. I opted for a Retrosound so I can have Bluetooth without hacking the dash. I added some 3.5 speakers in the dash and some boxed “6x9”s behind the seat.

I have the opportunity to buy this service body for $500. I’m really thinking about it. I love the look of this truck with a normal bed, but the added tool storage while still keeping a large cargo area would be really handy.

Only reason not to put that bed on the truck would be me worried about thefts. Hopefully not the case for you.

Would be sweet with it on!

Currently at any given point I have half of my Milwaukee tool collection laying loose in the bed. If anything this will be better off in that aspect; I’m hoping anyway.

Fair enough, not as easy as just grab and go.
But my theory is some c#nt sees a service body and is thinking yeah score!

That’s why I’ll never have a slip tank in the bed of my truck either.

All good. I’m just paranoid. Especially the way things are going these days.

I just wouldn’t leave it unattended. IMO

At least you guys are able to carry.
Be a Canadian we are screwed. Our laws seem to protect criminals. :doah:

couple years ago my dad was visiting my sister in Portland, someone broke into his Cherokee and tried to steal it but couldn't get it started so they stole the $30 stereo in it. Dad called the cops and they said even if they caught the guy red handed its a $20 ticket for "unauthorized borrowing"

thanks guys i’m really happy with how it all came together
