'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

Yikes that's like using a howitzer for fine detail work. The reamer I used last year was the sharpest metal cutting tool I've ever put my hands on. 3 or 4 blips with my 1/2" Chuck drill and it hogged out cast iron like it was butter.
Haha, it got er dun quick that’s for sure. I had to remove about a 1/4” all the way around and some internal obstructions. It was alot of material

First test drive in the books. Runs great. I do need to bump up the idle screw on the tb a bit, the iac valve gets maxxed out trying to raise the idle when I first start it. This pic was right after filling up with gas. Look at the heat soak on the iat.

Is that the gauge labeled Manifold Air Temperature? If so, I wouldn't have thought the number is too awful?

Yeah that’s it. I have a open element iat sensor so it responds pretty quick. When the engine is off it will climb to near coolant temps. Once its running down the road, it comes way down. Would be even better if I can figure out a cold air intake

Both wheel seals were leaking and one came out in pieces. Gross, I haven’t worked on something this nasty since I was a hdr.

Looking at the parts catalog for 2002 trucks, 3.73 and 4.10s were available on both the 10.5 and the 11.5. However, the Allison trans forced the 3.73 on the 11.5. The manual trans could be had with the 4.10 on the 11.5.

I thought my recent axle seal job was bad, yours is horrible. Bet that parking brake didn't hold.
