'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

I just googled jp stevens. Looks like they were one of americas largest textile companies. Pretty cool. Guy was born in the 1800's

My bed looked like that.. But up front didn't look so good. It's not that much drier in NV than AZ. Have you looked up front yet?

Not fully yet. Ive had the carpet pulled back pretty far when I first got it when I was cleaning up the wiring and it looked good but we will see tomorrow. Lol.

Like hefner said, not quite perfect like the back but just a couple areas of medium rust. Nothing to serious.

Thanks, that makes me feel better. I was hoping it was 100% rust free. Probably about as close as you can get i guess.

I want to do the best I can to neutralize what's there before I herculine it. I was reading about ospho. I have also heard about naval jelly. Anyone have recommendations or tips?
I have already wire wheeled the shat out of the whole floor.

I just primered it and went herculiner right over that. I did email herculiner and they said to primer - and not to do onto bare metal.

Been reading some about 'rust bullet' and may consider that on my upcoming project.

That came out pretty nice. Did you stuff anything in the bolt holes? I used a bunch of disposable ear plugs. Had a bulk bag of them.

Thanks. I didn't put anything in the holes. I figured if I had any go in the threads i'd run a tap through them but I got lucky I guess.

Got my switch box remounted and wired.
I don't know where i'm going to put it once I put the man transmission in....

IMG_5157.PNG Second highest up the ramp last night. Lol
Guy that went higher had a custom stretched wrangler with stock blazer front leafs all the way around. Pretty sweet ride.
