'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

Last time I did that it was a bullshit job and the result wasn’t up to my liking. Going to replace the whole schebang this time around.

When I did bushings only on my driver door It may have been better than it was, but not the best it could be.

Truck looks badass man! Were those hinges from LMC gtg?
Thanks man! Yeah I haven’t done the passenger side yet but the driver side fit just fine. Nice and tight, no play at all. And their new updated door rubber is perfect. Seems like oem.

Finally got the fubared speedo cable from Blazer Bash out. It’s completely seized up so I’m afraid it probably stripped out my speedo gear in the t-case.

I feel for you, mine did the same thing on my trip to/from Blazer Bash. Worst part is it is a sucky job getting it back on the speedo end.

Yeah, fortunately I needed to pull the cluster anyway so I can seal the holes in the dash where the rollcage comes through. I did the engine side but didn’t think about the fact that the inside hole is pressurized from the cowl. Can you say dust storm?

I didn’t get shat for pictures, but the dash intrusion is sealed, the speedo cable is replaced, the heater box relating rod is fixed so the dash is all back together. I got the front inner fenders trimmed more and the rear is cut bigger. Hopefully that should eliminate the last bit of rubbing.
AND, the speedo actually works.
