85 K5 Build (What to do this summer...)

Seems like a really clean blazer.. not even any rust.. Lucky bastard haha!

The interior was nice, is this going to see any trails or just a DD?

Where did you get the kick panels and how much? Nice blazer! You may have inspired me to build my own sway bar disconnects too.

I got the kickpanels from LMC for $50. Do the swaybar disconnects its so cheap ($20) and makes a huge difference.

Pomona swap meet Aug 14th, lets meet up. $25 to park in the middle of it all with passenger included. :D I'm leaving the K5 at home though, '68 needs some lovin time

is it a car show or swap meet or both?

This is a great build. It reminds me of how I started with my suburban only a couple of decades ago. Subscribed.

Keep at it. Keep posting. And, keep the truck!

Now that it the interior was finished and I had driven it for about 8 months summer was closing in. Where I live its about 100 degrees most summer days and never rains. The answer I decided on was offroad at night (Which meant lightbar). I but a 51.5 inch lightbar in the grill. I also built a tool box that could hold some oil, tow straps and other stuff.

Got a gas set up today so I can MIG instead of flux core. Roll cage got delayed a week because of work and a last minute river trip

That little tank of Co2 is adorable!!! :haha:

Seriously, I did the same thing with my first welder....small tank, seemed like a good compact solution. You run out of gas SO quickly it's not even funny. It doesn't look as "cool" but now I run the larger 80cuft (~3ft tall) ones and keep a couple in reserve. I only seem to run out of shielding gas on the weekends when AirGas is closed!!! :doah:
