'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
I've never owned that didn't light all four. Like Ethan said, it makes absolutely no sense to have a dual filament bulb if they didn't.

I'm pretty sure that at least one of my rigs came with a burned out high-beam filament...which made it look like only one light was illuminating at a time. Until I replaced the halfway-burned-out bulb.

If you managed to have 2 of them you could go for a loooooong time and never know what you are missing. :dunno:

I'll stand by my comment that high beams are quite nice with 4 lights running. I'd be curious to see what they look like with all 6 filaments.

I have only seen all 4 light up for high beam, my Dad even has an '88 suburban that does. I had to mod my '90 K5.
I have heard that if you light both elements in one bulb, that the heat will be too much.
But at least you are making progress! And we are giving you more ideas to keep you busy!

So I snuck this in the garage last Thursday while the wife was at an employee appreciation dinner. Got the alternator changed out for a 94amp unit. Also got the power steering belt tightened up enough to make the belt stop chirping. Turns much more smooth now with the hydro-assist.

Been having a run issue lately where the truck wants to load up at idle. Was thinking I may have an O2 sensor issue, due to the fact it was used when I bought the EFI system. I started it yesterday and let it run till is started running badly. Went to unplug the O2 sensor to see if it would change how the truck runs, meaning the sensor would be bad. When I got down to unplug it, I found it laying on the header which poses 2 questions:

-Is this damaged enough to cause a sensor issue?

-Once unplugged the truck did not run any differently, which would mean the sensor is fine?

The 4 wires for the sensor itself are perfectly fine. This appears to be some sort of an aux. plug for the original vehicle. This is the correct sensor for the system. I double checked.

I hate making judgements like this from a pic. As long as it still clips on and stays on its just plastic

Chinese lol

It's Professional Products Powerjection system. Based off TBI. Same MAP sensor. Same TPS.

You can usually test the various sensors.

It seems the CTS is always going bad in those

It was actually causing issues last fall. I replaced it and it fixed a lot of the issues.

I have narrowed down that my target A/F ratio is a little too fat. Causing some excess fuel issues and fouling out the plugs. Going to clean the plugs, and start over fresh with a new base tune. Get my A/F ratio a little more lean. And have it do some self learning from there.

So my dome light is missing.

2 wires coming out where the dome light should be. Orange and white. Which is power and which is ground?

White should be the door signal in from the driver door
