Well either way the stud is stripped, so if I cut it off I can then vise grip it once out and save the nut.

We have had a few issued with smoked studs on a couple wheels. We used bolts as replacement for the time being that turned into permanent parts.

Got them at Harbor Freight? LolGet these. Way better at grabbing round stuff than any pair of vise grips. Just gotta use them in the correct direction for the teeth to dig in. Knipex Cobra Pliers.

Is that an ECM temp sender in the thermostat housing?
If so, can you drill and tap the intake in that little spot towards the passenger side of the thermostat?
3/8" pipe thread.
If you put it there, then it can read temps better as the thermostat being closed won't affect it.
