But I'm not going to have a drag link...Mine at 5 with the overload had the drag link contact the spring on each direction from center
Lol. Yeah.Solved
I already have the springs in the rear right now. So at the moment, I am not going to buy new ones.
I just read some more on @Kay86K5's thread, and it appears he only had the 4+1 overload on the front of his. I think he went back and flipped the overload, but I couldn't find that part in his build.
Thanks for the info! No, I never flipped the overloads, I just left them in their stock location. Yeah, I have the 4+1...in fact, my current front 52's and rear 56's are out of @mrk5's old K5 (the general). So these springs are pretty well used by now. The 56's are just fine as they were out of a mid 80's 3/4 ton burb, but the 52's are starting to wear out and one is starting to flatten out. But what's nice about the junkyard 52 swap, is 52's can be found very easily for cheap. I already have an extra set sitting in my garage from an 89 K5...I'm getting close to installing my NWF titan/205 tcase setup, and I'm thinking at the same time I'll swap in the newer springs too and hold on to the ones in my current truck just for emergency.
Thanks for the info!

Haha thanks. Yeah, it's been a rough ride. You always look back at things you could have done better.Love it, man. It's a nice rig (hopefully you still have it, 60 pages is a lot to go through, haha).

That's on the rear.Thought you had a barnes cover?

Yeah, I thought about that. If for some crazy reason they stay on too long, they will get rounded and painted.SHARP CORNERS!!!! My head would be drawn to those like a magnet.![]()
