'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Wiring harness came in from classic industries today. This should fix a lot of the rats nest that’s going on. Plus this should clean it up and make it look better. And having a new engine bay harness helps when splicing the 8.1 harness.

Oh, and it comes with new wiring for the fuel gauge, so that’s awesome!

Spent a couple hours in the garage this morning before the family got up and around. Pulled the old harness disaster and fixed/removed a wire nut in the headlight wiring harness. I don’t know how this old wiring was even working with all the splices in crap in it.

Ran the new harness and plugged in the only currently used plug, and ran the new starter wire.

I wish I would have thought about a new harness years ago, as this looks so much better and gives me a lot more hope for future electrical upgrades.

This area used to give me diarrhea, but now it looks clean and presentable. Lol
