'86 Jimmy 4in Lift, 40’s, tons, 8.1 Swap- 700r4 said PNNNNN

This is not a dedicated trail rig, but does trailer to the destination usually. I am currently in the planning phase of doing a 52/56" spring swap, and getting back to being more road worthy.
Update time.

Got a few more things checked off the list.

Trimmed the passenger side and got it fairly close to the drivers side. I plan to take some small round bar and weld it between the inner/outer fender and add some good reinforcement back into the edge.

I picked up some new transmission lines from LMC and installed those to connect to the Derale cooler I snagged from a CK5 member from a few years back.

Due to the thickness of the assembly it needed to mount up as high as possible to clear the grille. Then it had to be on the driver’s side to be clear of the hood latch. It’s currently plumbed in as just a pass through cooler. I’ll be wiring up the thermostatic switch soon.

Still need exhaust, but lots of medical expenses the last 10 months means that will have to wait for now.

Your explanation for the cooler location remind me of my favorite personal "fail" story is about the time I installed a trans cooler right in line with the hood latch. Worked great right up to the point I closed the hood.

I had it on the passenger side first, but thankfully I noticed the safety latch first.

Ya know, some "well intentioned" smart guy would suggest blasting it off!
:D
Just to try and instigate stuff!!!
:haha:

But in reality, that's got to be a tedious process. I have always suggested NOT to spray that on the outside, except the very bottom of the body.

Last night I turned my attention to the large dents that cover the doors and tub of this poor abused girl. It’s not even close to purfect, but 70% of the dents are out at least on this side.
