There "may" have been someone else driving

But it hasn't been all fun and games.....I finally got around to adding some additional seating complete with 5 point harnesses and sun shade (aka $20 HF mesh tarp doubled over). The seats and belts can all be removed in about 10 minutes.

The seats got great reviews from Jake and one of his friends, we took a day trip last Sunday since it was his 8th b day on Saturday. It wasn't with our "regular" wheeling buddies so it wasn't what we are used to, but it was a day offroading non the less:thumb:

I have a few odds and ends to wrap up in the next week or so, then we have a fundraiser event for the pre school my daughter goes, its called "touch a truck" local businesses bring big rigs, farm equipment, construction equipment etc and we've been asked the last 3 years to bring Sarge !! The kids get to climb on them and ask questions about what they do and how they work, there are food vendors and games and it all goes toward the school. Then is our next trip on the 27th :woot: Cant wait !!!!

It's not the color, it's the lines and tightness. Impressive. :pimp:

How are the back seats for adults? I was thinking of adding a single seat to the back of my rig but I think I would have to drop the floor in order to give them a little footwell

Did yu paint your wheels with the tires mounted?

I thought you had 20's on it for a second when I first looked at that picture.

:haha: your the 2nd one that saw a pic and thought it had "big" wheels :pimp:

But no, painted the wheels after I "built" them and then mounted them and nothing since

I forget who, but, some on thought I had put "big" wheels on it in this pic :haha:

Ryan, as to the rear seats....the leg is isnt bad....but im only 5'7" so take that as you will :D. I did drop the floor another 2", which puts it about 1/2" above the frame rails, to get all the "leg room" I could. I also used the home depot roof patch stuff (think cheap dynamat ) under the new floor to keep the heat from the exhaust to a minimum....seems to work great.

Well its been a long time since I've updated....mainly because we've just been having a blast enjoying Sarge :D

But...there have been some recent "upgrades"

First...some random pics of recent stuff....

The CJ lost a tooth on the sector shaft of the box which locked the wheels

Apparently the back seats are pretty comfy...somehow Jake and his cousin Keira caught a nap while on the trail...

and my daughter Caroline is now as big of a fan of wheeling as Jake is

So now I'm doubled with a Bohemoth box and a triple stick shifter and loving it!!! It's like EFI....don't know how I lived with out it...and never will again :waytogo:
......install wasn't with out a few issues though....

Used my lift..

Had a good jack...

20150515_195730_zpsjsgjtzcl.jpg

Had to cut a hole in the floor....no big deal..

20150515_222937_zpspxqkx9cu.jpg

The "issue" came later when I was finishing the crossmember / skid plate...let's just say 1.5" .250 wall square hurts when it hits you..:doah:

This

Did this...

20150520_221729_zpsle9yb00u.jpg

I was building the 2nd cross bar and had that one stuck up with 2 welding magnets...well....it was a little too heavy for them..:doah:...oh well won't make that mistake twice...probably should have gotten stitches .

Few things I forgot to mention....

I went with a HAD flange of the back of the 205 and I am now running a super duty front driveshaft with the 1350 cv as my rear shaft...with my 118" wheel base it needed to be stretched 3.5"

My shifters are JB fab triple sticks, buggy style with 60" cables...which are just about perfect...I definetly could not have gone any shorter and been able to route them how I wanted.

Next up will be a narrow job on the nose and I took a gamble and bought a set of mid length headers for the big block and I'll let you know how they work out.

Few more pics of some new wrinkles after the last trip out :D

The cab corner plating has been worth it's weight in gold :haha: I'm pretty sure I would have removed the b pillars by now (not by choice) with out them!! They also do an excellent job of de-barking trees

20150525_162720_zpsi40rsaen.jpg

After all the work on clocking, skid plates, and loss of blood...and I never even scratched it...lol

I do love those cab protectors. I am also jealous of the Behemoth. I think the NP241 gearing would be a lot nicer than my NP203.

Martin

Thanks Martin. The cab guards were kind of an accident really....when I was building the rear bumper for Dads Willys I started with a 2x6" 3/16 wall tube and when I cut the back side out the heat naturally rolled it almost to the correct radius of the b pillar...that's when I got the idea...soo glad I did it!!

The gearing options with the 241 parts are simply awesome, and I'm loving the 2wd capabilities now with the triple stick!!
