87' GMC Custom Crew Cab Short Bed CUMMINS!

I don't know how I missed this thread before but I must say I'm super impressed. If I ever want a really nice custom wheeler built, I think I know who to call. :waytogo: I wish I could weld like that. Can't wait to see the finished product. I know that having a supportive family really helps too.

Any updates?? I'd like to see what it takes computer wise to setup a 24v in a swap like this. Awesome build by the way!

I do have updates, but I just realized I have to pay for a membership in order to review my own posted photos on my own build thread. With all that I spend from my family's needs, bills, the build itself I just cannot justify this one.. Sorry guys but thank your for the interest and support.. You may just see this truck in a magazine some day!!

Will you do updates on F/B? I` ve been watching.

I'll keep the build updated on facebook... I finally finished a massive build for a customer so I can FINALLY get back on this ole girl!!

I worked on my crew cab!!!!
Built a new p/S pump bracket so I could better position my engine.
Drilled out the mounting holes in the frame for the bed mounting bolts
Notched one of the bed crossmembers to align the bed
Fabricated the hydro boost mounting bracket to adjust the installed angle. The brake reservoir was hitting the bottom of the hood..
It felt really good to get my hands back on the ole girl

I have been acused of "Lacking Finishing" but when you are a fabricator by trade I find I have little time for my personal projects. The video below showsthe last project I recently completed that is scheduled for a body off paint and interior stage which will start in about four months...

If you would like to see more photos of this build and others be sure to stop by my facebook page:

Good deal! Too bad all your other projects keep getting in the way of finishing this thing!

I couldn't agree more... It really just comes down to my time management. Once I get started on a customer project it consumes me until completion. I told my wife I need to set aside 1-2 days every week to work on my crew cab. To much time, love, money, and money tied up in this project not to see it through...

Keeping my fingers crossed I can stick to my plan. I have a 58 Nomad, 57 Chevy pickup, and a 75 FJ40 cruiser all going on right now so time will tell if I can stick to my guns on this LOL...

Good luck on all of them!

I have been watching on F/B But nice to see you back on CK5! :thumb:

I like your work! :waytogo:
