Got it. Looks like the predecessor to the style/pic i posted.
Have you decided where to order the weatherpack and metri pack stuff from yet.
I'm a few weeks off from that at least, cash-wise....
That's what I thought when I saw emGot it. Looks like the predecessor to the style/pic i posted.
Really nice layout of the wiring work too.

I really like the idea of 2 sets of rims/tires for this rig... the "pretty" Welds to run around most of the time with, wheel good when needed, groove and sipe the TSL's to get the best road manners, etc.. and a set of locked steelies and the 39.5 bogger/TSL combo for dedicated wheeling adventures....
i may say different after having to do the swap a few times, but I'm not scared!![]()

I think i'd be pretty good about it.... I'm pretty well set up for doing it.. space-wise, tools.. i figure about 75% of the wheeling i'll end up doing on the 38's... the only time i'll run the nasty's is for like weekend wheeling gigs... maybe 6 x's a year or something... Canadian border fishing trip? the 38 radials...
even tho my daily minimum mileage, which happens often, to be about 5 miles is VERY local, I'll get sick of hearing the Boggers pretty quick I think.. not to mention, even tho I think the truck will do "OK" with the PoPo running the 39.5's, we'll see, it will be techniqcally illegal..
hopefully the rig looks so well-made, they'll just pull me over to ask me about it...![]()
Yup , I had one officer back in the late 80's that gave me s**t over my tires sticking out to far, and that it was illegal. I use to tell him the mirror that came on the truck stuck out farther. He would just get pissed at me, told me to fix it or park it, but they never did more than give me warnings about what they were going to do to me.

I wonder if he popped the top off that engine just after this picture was taken. I bet he didn't have a rev limiter to save him when he lost traction completely.
Not only did he lift the fronts, he got the rears off the ground too!!
Awesome.
Later,
Buddy
