87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

gotta say, I'm pretty damn pleased with how the wheelwell sectioning came out... keeping the bodyline, lip, etc ended up coming out just like I hoped... :woot:

Wow Paul, that looks Killer.:bow:

The sectioning and the color choice are just awesome. :pimp:

OK. I tried to post this a second ago, but it didn't work for some reason......

I just got a paid membership today, which I should have done a looong time ago. Figured it'd be a good start for the new year. I wanted to put up my first post since getting my CK5 life right to say "thank you" Ryoken. Your build is the one that inspired me to get a K5 and start my own project.

I have followed your build since I found CK5 on the web. I would say that you are talented, but I don't think that quite describes your skillset accurately. I think you passed the "talented" rating sometime around when you could first hold a wrench on your own and pronounce the word "fabricate".

Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge with the rest of us. The wealth of knowledge from your build thread and others on CK5 is what makes this the best resource in the world for all things K5.

Now, let me jump in with the others here and say that it's looking BADA$$!!! I am definitely tuned in for the next installment.

Keep up the good work!

oh, and a VERY happy new year to all! thanks for all the support! :bow:

I'm on it.... :deal: :haha:

on schedule for a shoot sunday... he!!, I was wetsanding parts in the tub at 1 a.m, and back in the garage at 6 a.m... :eek1::doah::haha:

just kinda sucks that the one week i've had off all year, the back is flairing up more than usual..... I herniated a disc or something last time i went skating back in august.. I've always had a back like a horse, but this has been going on for months incessantly, eventually I'll have to get it checked out... :whistle:

fresh coffee injection, a 700 mg Ibuprofren and the dungeon's calling! :deal:

The pain only gets worse with age, just push on!
The under side looks fantastic! Paint it and spray pam on it. LOL
Unreal the amount or attention to detail you got going on.SWEET!!

these are script ones my vet bud gave me... empty stomach they fock ya up... sometimes they help, sometimes they don't.... I don't take em unless it's real bad... I should at least go at some point and find out exactly what it is... t's nonstop from when i wake up, till bed... get's old.... I'm a tough masochist, but i have my limits...

well, the rig is about 1/2 masked... taping the cage off is a huge pain.... i'll be up 1/2 the night between that and finishing prepping some parts... but i should be painting late morn tomorrow....

when my floors rust out again. im gonna re-do them like you have, i reallllly like your body supports/floor work.

sheesh..... it just took me 5 hrs to mask the cage... :eek1: 4 rolls of 2" tape.. heading back down to mask off the copper now.... and I still have 2 or 3 hr's of parts sanding to do... gonna be a LONG night.... :doah: :screwy: :haha:

figures..... it seems like the new cam takes a nice photo.. now if i can get the goofy Kodak software to work right...

Depending on what you're trying to do I'd ditch the kodak software. Our first digital camera was a kodak years ago and the software was funky. Just plug it in and turn the camera on then open the folder on the camera and drag and drop onto your computer's hard drive. Makes life easier and keeps stuff nice and organized IMO.

Looking forward to more updates! :thumb:

:popcorn: Tomorrow is the big day!

:woot:Ryoken dance party in the dungeon:woot:

:saweet::saweet::saweet:

:haha::haha::haha:

excellent..... :bow: maybe I'll do a vid clip of it! :screwy: :saweet:

well... that was pretty psycho, just worked 18 of the last 20 hrs...... :doah::haha:

cab is ready.... i'll have to sand those parts in the morn.. I'm not sure if I'll have paint for those anyway.. definitely could have used another gal... we'll see how it goes..

and thanks Avery, think I'll try that way... :bow:
