87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

You did your rotors too? Will you just get them resurfaced to take the paint off where the pad will rub?

they're masked... as are other pertanant areas of parts...

One suggestion. Keep your camera in a zip-lock baggie while you are spraying:doah::doah::doah:

I guess you know that now though:rolleyes:

Niiiice job on the fender wells though:bow:

Thanks guys, means alot...

I'll try to remember to get more shots and give a thorough explanation on the sectioning when I do the other side... I'm very happy with the results, I've always hated that "cut fender, sharp edge" deal...

I'm glad all that blasting, stripping, etc is done..... I probably had 80 hrs in the frame alone, but I can sleep at night knowing there isn't a spec of rust, etc... I didn't just blast it, I only have the little HF 25 lb pressurized one, so I had to mechanical strip everything I could get to with rolocs, flapwheels, etc, then do an overall and nooks with the blaster... think I went thru about 750 lb of sand...

pounding the truck the last week has only made me realize HOW much labor I have ahead. So I just need to be diligent in my effort... Not to mention another 5 grand I need to come up with for parts...

Can't wait to start bolting stuff up... I black Imroned the parts last night, today I do the orange ones.. Then they get put away till the cab floor is done... I'll dance the jig when I have the floor/tunnel done... :woot:

And my kingdom for a horizontal bandsaw right now!!!! :doah::(:haha::wink1: actually, I think I'll go buy a 14" chop saw today...

more pics soon..... :wink1:

x2! Very interested in how you did it, of course it is already too late for my front fenders. :doah:

And my kingdom for a horizontal bandsaw right now!!!!

Extra points for working in a Shakespeare quote in reference to power tools. :D:haha:

What did the bulkhead setup run ya? I pieced mine together with the different fittings, so it isn`t a complete unit like that...

Also, where`d ya get those tranny fittings?

Otherwise, looking good Paul :wink1:

well, the bulkhead was a splurge... $50... being I already run proflex hose and endura fittings on the trans, I decided to do em on the heater stuff too. makes sense. needed to do a bulkhead anyway of some sort, and that was EXACTLY what I was looking for..

I only got the bulkhead, not the hose and fittings yet.. wanted to fit up the fitting while I'm in there smoothing the firewall.. another project coming up in the next week or so...

the trans fittings are the ones linked to in YOUR thread.. from SweetPerformance.com

Thats what I was wondering if it was those fittings :wink1:

I think with all the fittings, it was close to $60, only because I had to do hose barb on both sides....
