Apparently Pitbulls are the way of the future. I've heard nothing but GREAT things about them from guys that run them.

The look of the pitbulls is taking awhile to grow on me but plenty of locals are in love with them and they seem great for the price.

I like the way a toyo looks but 550.00 for a tie is nuts.. they also dont offer a 16.5, kumo is interesting too for a mild tire, but again, no 16.5.

Im looking at the 44" rocker as a possible buggy tire.

FYI from what I have heard the company that made like almost all tires bigger then 35's for all the tire companies went out of business so no kind of tire bigger then a 35 is being made right now.

that was the rumor I had heard too..... i'm sure the guys on Pirate know whats going on, but i don't hang over there.... the TSL's are listed as "out of production" on a few sites, whether thats related to the "none over 35 being made" or that line being discontinued, i don't know...

obviously this isn't an immediate issue for me... but my 38's have a fair amount of dryrot, enought that inspection may give me grief.... i'm willing to run em on the street, if i have a spare.. which i don't have at this point.. thus why i wanted to start picking up pairs of the TSL's to start working in the mix and replace the dryrotters as needed...

I'd be willing to try the Rockers down the road for sure... I've heard nothing but good about the Pitbull's...

Ill see if I can find you a link, Dennon "sp?" tire went bankrupt, molds were tied up in the deal, lots of bs.

It was recently released that tire production was moving to mexico or china. Not sure but I seem to recall hearing it went to the later of the two. They still do however have some of there core brand tires made here in the states.

Ill see if I can find the link.

no details but memo from national tire and wheel

"If you are wondering why some of the Swamper or Ground Hawg sizes that you are looking for are currently not listed on our website, please read on.

One of the factories that produce some of the Interco Super Swamper and Ground Hawg tires has been closed due to economic conditions in their area. This closure affects the supply of certain tires and sizes that are produced at that factory until the molds can be moved to a different plant and production resumes.

National Tire & Wheel has made the decision to remove the sizes currently not available from our website as soon the inventory is depleted at both our warehouse and Interco's warehouses. We will make an effort to keep the website as current as possible so that we do not run into a problem with backordered merchandise. We will be adding the sizes back to the site as soon as they become available again.

Interco is hoping to have the molds moved and back into production of some sizes by mid summer, beginning with the most popular sizes first. We will strive to keep our website as updated and current as possible concerning inventory availability.

Due to the current supply situation, we are going to take orders on the tires affected in sets of 4 only. If you are looking for an odd number of tires (1, 2, or 3) we may still have some inventory left that is not showing on the site. Since most customers are looking for a set of 4, we have removed only the tires that we have less than a set of. Feel free to call us and check on sizes not shown if you are in need of an odd number.

We apologize for any inconvenience but feel that it is in everyone's interest to be upfront and honest concerning the current supply situation."

good info.... thanks..... I'll be curious to see what shakes down in the market when this is "resolved".....

a friend just ordered a set of 43" sx stickies and had them in a month. i don't know why there seems to be a hold up.

back to work after 3 weeks of no loving for the rig... :woot:

VERY cool stuff in progress...:grind::hack::saweet:

that is all............................. :p:

I'm just eggsited about the truck again... :o not to be a pic tease...

got some good stuff done today... the interior electric is gonna be sick... finished up the megasquirt and associated components mount today.... I'm tieing it in somewhat to the glovebox breaker panel.. VERY pleased with how that side of the "cockpit" is gonna be....

hopefully I'll have something worthy of pics in the next week or so... the next update should be pretty huge...

it's been much longer than that since any update of consequence...

actually, Ive been working hard on it the last couple weeks, every day... I'm just in the middle of multiple projects right now, some being very time consuming... yesterday I was sandblasting the insides of my fenders after work...

hopefully I'll have a big pic update soon...

believe me I want an update more than anyone.. :deal:

I've had alot on my plate at once lately... the toolwall, getting the cab primed and seam sealed, a really trick shiftcable floorboot setup, some custom panel mounting at the firewall and some pretty involved glovebox door/kickpanel stuff on the passenger side... among other stuff... :doah: :haha:

I'm working on getting some of that finalized in the next week or so... :deal:

i demand a single picture update everyday lol.. i basically come on and say oh oh i wonder what Greg or Ryoken did today!? and lately i get sadddddd.. Keep up the good work!!!
