87 K5 Build...Hmmm, whats that Ryoken up to? stay tuned...

thanks man , they timed out just right.. I'm ready to install that stuff, blasted/painted, but Amazon wont have the Silverstars to me till weds...

the turn signals are from superbrightleds.... VERY pleased with them.. very well built... forgot to order the matching plugs, they're coming next week.. but you can bet wiring will be heavily covered.. :deal:

I rode a bike in a pool once.... the 15' deep Egg Bowl at Cherry Hill Skatepark back in the day... I'm like, oh this cool, catching little airs, then the back tire hit the coping, saw my life flash before my eyes going over the bars into deepend, rode out of the pool, handed it back to this dude and said, "here, you can keep this" :haha:

big respect for the bike vert guys, I've been wrecked, lots, :doah: but a handlebar to the kidneys has gotta suck... :eek1: those guys slam HUGE....

but I always loved jumping and riding em in ditches... that place in the 15 yr old shots was a blast... big bunny hops, toe stops, footplants, all that oldschool stuff...

I am ancient tho, I remember the first bike dude was Tinker Juarez, riding the skateparks.. heck, I remember when snowboarding was invented, and all it's predecessors from Tom Sims and the like... :doah:

Yeah I'm about you're age then I guess, paying for my crazy days lol. I was never a good skater but would ride the bike wherever skate friends did, just need to crash different, same mentality.I still ride some on my old Redline I built, l love freestyle and jumps. Hi-jack off, carry on sir!

:haha: :waytogo:

i actually went and read some reviews and they all said what i said... :haha:

the lunch /dinner stuff is ok, but the breakfasts are truly nuts... huge portions of stupid good food...

ain't nothing special to look at... the decor consists of giant chainsaws from the 1800's hanging on the walls..

thanks Google!

alrighty, enough farkin around, off to the dungeon for me.... :haha:
Sorry Paul ,this is the pic I was asking about... if that was you.

I did want to know about the avatar pic aswell... It`s funny you mention Tinker Juarez, total hero from way back, I remember him from BMX action mag. I never rode parks but was into BMX, My heros were Stu Tomson/REDLINE and Brent Patterson/ Patterson. I still got a set of Redline 401 3 peice cranks sitting in my gun cabinet. Lol we must be close to the same age...I`m 43.

And I like the grill. Your work makes it look sweet.:waytogo:

If I did it, it would look like some dick took chicken wire and stapled it too the rad.:eek1:

:doah:

ummmm, yeah, that was just some random Google images... :o

and here I go off on a skate tangent...:haha:

Are you kidding me ... Thats great!! I love to hear storys about what guys are like for real... you could go on all day and I would read it.:D

Besides it brought back some great memories of my youth.

And it was my bad for not saying what pic`s I was talking about.:doah:

as you can see, it doesn't take much to get me going on skating...... :haha:

I've been missing it huge mentally lately... normally, I'd be chomping at the bit to go skate some vert this time of yr.. but my body is really opposed to the idea... :doah:

I'm REALLY gonna try to stay "retired" this yr, maybe a bit of flatland down at the tennis courts, but my back is gonna keep me from any flatwall... which, in all honesty, I have no business doing anymore... it's just hard for my heart to give that up...

I really think it's where I get a lot of my creativity from... the lines, putting together a run, what tricks into what, etc... I can't remember what I had for lunch last week, but I can tell ya every trick from contest runs in 1980! :doah::haha: or the moment I first landed a fs air... :saweet:

anyway.... :o kinda in a fartin around stage in the dungeon this weekend, as i did a pretty big cleanup this week... so nothing really pic-worthy... think I'm gonna go down and prep the floor for Herc... anxious to start final install on a lot of the interior...

Paul, I had a I can do it attitude for so long, then I had a rope swing incident on a river trip about 10 years ago....the 12' rope, nah I can do the 15'....anyhow it ended up bad, lucky I didn't impale myself on a log below, but I manage to climb out of the river, and my buddy says "Man you ain't 15, you shouldn't be trying stuff like that"
After that incident I kinda decided to think about what the consequences might be if things end up in "FAIL" condition.

Good luck with the back man, I know it can be disabling, I live with back pain everyday, and thank god I don't have to work on boats!:D

thanks... really the back is just a built-in excuse for me to not skate..... heck, I skated a big vert ramp a mile in the woods for 10 months with a fully torn ACL, etc, etc...

and there have been a couple times in my life, when I've said to myself "eesh, can't really be out of work these days.. take it easy..." and backpeddled my approach a bit..

but being a vert skater past the age of 18, 19 implies that anyway... but yup, the chances increase every yr that I'll slam and do something REALLY bad..

once I hit 30, it really became a function of knowing if I was "on", skating within myself, in other words doing moves that I generally make.. if I'm skating well, pushing it a bit here and there.. if not, just stick with the basics...

but even at that, you are going to bail, and my ability to survive those anymore, is greatly deminished...

it's all good... I'm ok with it, but I'll miss the rush... but I can still have fun just doing powerslides, etc down at the courts..

alrighty, back to cleaning the dungeon.. love it when it's nice and organized, forgot how much I like having a big shop-vac around...

alrighty... here's the chance to bust balls....

Ryoken's Pimp my Ride moment... :pimp: :haha:

I had gotten a bunch of LED lights a yr or so ago for some more "ambient, not blare in your face like my domelight" type hangin out interior lighting..

I'm doing indirect lighting on the ceiling and floor... Colby's gonna have a cow when he see's the quality of these pics! :doah::haha: sorry, I'm an idiot.. :o

here's a couple shots to get an idea of what the ceiling has... the pics really don't do it justice.. the light kinda cascades across the black sheetmetal.. kinda makes the cage tubes glow.. and also the lights are just tucked up there, they need to be aimed a bit...

I'll also have the same under each seat pointing downward.. but those are spotlight style.. maybe by the time i put those in, I'll have figured out how to take proper pics in the dark... :doah:

oh, and there's an amber mode, and a green... :eek1:  :pimp: :haha:

got a brown santa visit today with the plugs for my turn signals.. real nice quality on that whole setup.... VERY impressed for the money... also got a fairly substantial hardware order in from McMaster....

as for work, I'm in the process of making mounting brackets for the turn signals, and anxiously awaiting my Silverstars so I can see how the headlights are gonna work out... gonna stop by my autobody supply guy this week too and pick up some fresh headlight adjusters and springs... :woot:

I promise I'll work on my photography... :deal: I just know it makes an artist like you cringe... :haha:

actually when the truck is roadworthy, I'd really like to get a bunch of nice low light/night outdoor magaziney-type shots before it gets any Arizona pinstriping... :haha:so I'll have to work on my photo skills between now and then...

and thanks.... :D it really looks so much better in person.. I just thought it would be a neat way to do my floor lighting and carried the idea over to the ceiling...

looks great! with the camera, let the lense stay open longer and when you do that make sure its just on a "tripod" aka something solid on ur truck lol

man, i just took some on Night Portrait, and the shudder stays open FOREVER... :haha:

even really bracing the camera, they came out kinda blurry.. not sure if they are better or worse than the first batch.. some real bright spots in this batch... gotta work on it...

green....

I thought just the people in Arizona called it that. :dunno:

Either way, sweet build I find my self excited every time the thread gets a bump.
