Small update. As you might know, I picked up some 42" TSLs with wheels for $100.00 off CL.

Went to Pick Your Part yesterday. I got a 2wd steering box for $30.00. And they didn't charge me for the tranny cooler! They just threw it in for free.

I have a Balistic Crossover Arm. I will be ordering the Draglink today.

Looks like more progress, looking good!

What about the pitman arm?

Also, are you getting a screw type kingpin cap for the drivers side as well?

Also, you have newer and older looking warn hubs. Is one 30 and the other 35 spline?

I am going to get the drop pitman arm from ORD. Do you know where I can find one for less? Also the rod ends, $95 for the pair at ORD. Could I get these from say like Autozone? As for the drivers side, I was thinking the high steer arm. For around $50-60 more, I can get the arm instead of the springless cap. Bad idea? Im not running highsteer, but you never know in the future.

About the hubs, They are new old stock 30 spline hubs. Both matching, I cant see where they look different. Where did you see that? They are a new matching pair though.

Oh, I see. Here. Well the dirty one is a 30 spline that was in the axle when I bought it. The Warn Premium is a spare. Both are 30 spline.

Thanks bud! I am just going to get everything from ORD. I dont want to mess with getting from different places. If I get them from Stephen, I know they will fit. Thanks again!!

Be careful though. You have a ballistic arm, does that use the same tapered rod end? Also, is it the same length? Because the pitman arm to steering arm ratio has to be correct to get the full steering travel and use the right amount of turns at the wheel.

The Balistic springless arm is tapped for a tierod, not Heims. About the length, I dont know. I need to do some research now. Thanks for pointing that out. :waytogo:

Be careful, there is more than one tie rod/draglink taper. It has to match. the angle/size exactly or it could tighten up but still wallow around at an angle.

Called ORD this morning, I ordered everything I need for the crossover. I got a drop pitman arm, draglink and rod ends!! Sweet. They called me back saying it was shipped! Sweet!

Just ordered some stuff from them too. They are great to deal with.

She has lots of hair for 12 weeks. She looks just like Elvis. My wife is Korean, so half white half Korean.

I took the afternoon off today. Came home, put the frontend on jack stands and started on the crossover. It took about fifteen minutes to get it all stripped down. Now I'm waiting on the FedEx to drop off my order from ORD.

After taking off the caps, looking at the grease, damm, it is old and caked in there. The plastic bushings look good, so I'm taking the kingpins apart.

Good evening, wondering if your gunna do the bottom berring? I've gotta do this next week; it'll b my first full dissassembly, I did the upper bushings/springs earlier this year.. You feel like taking some good step by step rotor through knuckle dissassembly/reassembly pics? I've searched here and pirate and I'm still not quite sure what I have to order as far as sacrificial parts go pertaining to the hub assembly, plus I'd really like to see another set a pics... Ive got kingpin kits, zero rates, steering box brace, 12 bolt hummers w 37's all waitin for me to get my ars in gear..... Thanks, no biggie if you cant, would b cool though....

Sounds like you have a good plan with your rig. I don't think I'm going to tackle the bottoms yet.

UPS just dropped off my ORD crossover draglink! Looks beefy!!! Rod ends and pitman arm are sweet also. I don't have a socket big enough for the pitman arm nut though. Anybody know what size it is? Can't mess with it now, headin to sushi! Need my fix of raw fish!!!

Also need to find a way to plug the two steering box input and output holes so I can degrease and paint it.
