I planned on it. Is there a reason I shouldn’t?
More just due diligence that the elastomer is still in tact. It's often overlooked and a good way to ruin a lot of work by not checking/replacing

I will check it out before installing back on the engine. I did get a new balancer bolt.

My brother built a bumper on his blazer just a few months ago pretty much identical to what you are saying you want. It turned out good. Braced and welded right to the frame

The only thing I would change if I was starting over on that rear bumper is I would leave more of the tube protruding out behind the truck. The way it is there isn’t quite enough to step up on and what not.

I thought about this when I fabricated the mounts for mine but decided against it because there's no way in hell I can get my foot up there on 40's. I climb on the rims and tires to access the bed.

Yeah you are right on with that. I’m not tall enough to climb up that way either, but every time I climb down that way I wish it was different.

Just jump you old geezers lol. That’s how I do my 40s. Foot on top and pull my self over the bed side. To get down I put a foot on the bedside and heave my self over. Easy peasy.

Are you still running the same front driveshaft as you posted about earlier in the thread?

Also, now that you've wheeled at LWB and a SWB, which do you prefer?
