What the hell is a wheel tax? My most expensive registration is my '06 ($273/year) and that's becuase it's licensed for 11 tons. Everything else is $35

It will be around $150 next time unless I get historical plates.

I'm just complaining cause I hate giving the state money.

Yikes. Spending 1/3rd of your truck's value every year for taxes sounds excessive. Here in WI a farm truck is $22 per year, a normal truck is $86, and a classic or hobbiest plate (permanent registration) is $160. So I'm done paying for my rig unless I move out of state. My M1009 cost $30 for a permanent plate.

And I actually complained when I moved up here, as Iowa was cheaper yet. I have been reminded that thankfulness is in order.

Yay for $35! I kinda miss those days (passenger vehicles are $75 in WI). Though IA doesn't have cool categories for old vehicles. So overall, given the age of my fleet, it's pretty much a wash. :waytogo:

Well, we do have to get emissions done all the way back to 1967. And only just a year and a half ago had to emissions test motorcycles too... So that sucks, kind of a tradeoff. Dreaded every October when I had to try to get my 67 Firebird through..

A better word for Nebraska is 'tax state'. My '96 Camaro is still $150 and my motorcycle is over $100.

Once again, that is because you are in Lancaster County. I pay around $30 a year for my plates, and I choose to pay more than I am required to in order to run FARM TRUCK plates.

I suppose you are probably right. I've only lived in Lancaster and from what I can gather, it's high in taxes and not just vehicle registration.

mine are like $26 every years and idk what it costs to plate stuff but I don't need a bill of sale or anything like the Nazis in Lincoln. Still most of my vehicle purchases are less than a grand.

I was dreading going to title the V20 since I didn't have a bill of sale. Made my own and went to the west O location and she didn't even care. I need to move out of Lancaster. Can't afford to keep everything current lol.

Oh, I forgot about needing a Bill Of Sale in Lancaster County. They don't care in Boone County. I could have made you one.

Nothing really exciting, but I'm bored.

Pulled the truck in the shop at work last weekend to do some cleaning.

Heater box out, and nasty.

Decided to do a deep cleaning on the interior. Set the dash pad and bezel in to see what it looks like.

Tonight we had baseball sized hail predicted in the forecast. I don't want a broken windshield.
