Read thru the build. A big transformation for sure. Had a question on your suspension setup, if you had to do it over would you go the same route? Reason for the question I’m currently thinking about rehashing my suspension setup. I got stiff 6” springs up front and blocks on the rear. Found one of my rear springs main eye that the shackle bolts to is cracked and needs to be addressed.
Figured I would ask you this since you have be running this setup for a couple years now.

Depends on what you want to do with the truck. Mine was built for crawling so it does pretty good for that. It’s has a lot of body roll on the street though. If it wasn’t a crawler I wouldn’t like it, but I deal with it cause that’s what it’s for. So if I was building another crawler yeah I would. If I was building a street driven truck I would not.

Thanks. This helps as mine is used for crawling also. Almost no street time anymore

So I got some of the cheap pre cut tint on eBay. I tint every one of my vehicles so I figured I could try it myself for $25. Only problem is it's a little darker than I wanted it to be.

Evening light makes it look really dark. Will have to see how it looks tomorrow.

Hey, I know this was 2 years ago, but I was thinking of purchasing this pre-cut tint for my CCLB. Was it pretty easy to install? Keep in mind, I've never even attempted to tint my own windows before.

I'm not looking for ridiculously high quality in the end, but I don't want it to look hack either. And I hate when I see crap DIY tint jobs that bubble up only after a year. Let me know what you think.

Thanks!

I've done some pre-cut tint before and as long as it's the good quality tint and not the crappy purple chit it's pretty easy. Curved glass sucks but you shouldn't have any of that really. If you really want it to be easy pull all you door glass out lol.

It didn’t fit very good. Had to trim a lot. It has faded quickly as well but I ripped it off the side windows. I’d spend the money and have it done professionally.

I got a quote from the only place within multiple hours of me that does custom cut tint, and it was almost $300. I just ordered a set for my crew cab and even with a little install kit it was $35 to my door (even if it isn't an exact fit, I can deal with that for that price). And considering mine is garage kept at all times unless I take it for a drive...maybe it wont fade as fast. Either way, this is worth it for me for the time being. This will at least get me by for a while. If later on down the road I don't like it, I will rip it off and then get ripped off to have some shop do the tint. I kinda look at this like the spray paint I just put on my crew cab. I just want it to get me by for a few years, and later on if I want to repaint it really good, then I will...same thing with this tint :waytogo:
