Man, that's a nice truck! Straight and clean. Looking forward to see what's next. :pimp:

Drove her this way for quite a while and then decided on my wheel/tire setup, thread to make all this work.

Shortly after adding the large tires I added a trans cooler to keep the 700 cool.

Of course ball joints and axle shaft u joints were a necessity at some point.

How she sits currently

Factory 20" Texas Edition chevy wheels, 35" Firestone Destination m/t.

Did not care for the Firestones because of the undersizing, should be a 34x10x20 instead of a 35x12.50x20. These tires were literally 10" wide. nother set of Nittos are on the way.

Thanks to "Silverado_K5" for hooking me up with this used brace. I'm a poor a** college student after all. [emoji1]

I'll keep yall posted on any new progress.

In the meantime, tell me whatcha think! [emoji41]

mmmmm I like the non-20s better, your second set shown.

how has the LS swap treated you?
After doing it in my C10, I'd love to put one in my blazer. I just fear the adapters and problems dealing with 4wd vs my C10. Throwing a 5.3/4L65 in is easy. Dealing with a 700/241 doesn't seem as easy. Or even a 4L80/241.

Lol you and just about everyone else like the 18s better. I don't mind being different, I like them. [emoji1]

Just put a 4l60e behind the 5.3 and a 241 will bolt up. I didn't see a lot of sense in sticking with a 700r4 that would always be tempermental. I never had one that I was satisfied with in my experience.

Got an Airaid "modular intake tube" on the way.
7a8746d62aa3d5a4da2e35a66324fe5e.jpg

I prefer this over a full CAI because I can retain the factory air box so the filter won't be so susceptible to dust/water. And I can't use a factory intake tube because it won't clear the kwik performance A.C. bracket I plan on using.

All get some pics up when it arrives.

Who knows where I can get a flange style cv slip yoke?
ad73c75408aca50644e35897ef634d94.jpg

My rear cv shaft has the slip yoke made into the joint, I have little spline engagement that's causing vibrations. I want to convert it to a flange style cv joint.

Dennys driveshaft has a listing but has been out of stock for forever.
