I saw your wheel thread and really like the look of the newer 18"s. The 20"s are still cool but just a little too big for my taste. Otherwise nice truck!
Ya know, I really liked the 18" wheels on my truck but the I did not care for the wheel design itself. If I could find a factory 18 that I really liked I would probably go back.I saw your wheel thread and really like the look of the newer 18"s. No, the 20s have thinner spokes w/ a groove running down each. The 18s didn't have enough void between the spokes for my likingAren't your current wheels just a bigger version of the same design?

Thanks! The 5.3 has plenty of power for my towing needs.Nice looking truck!
We want to do the the 5.3L swap as well and you have exactly the size/type of camper we're looking to pull with it as well.
I like the wheels too. At first I was trying to figure out why 17" wheels looked so big but then I saw they are 20's. [emoji14]imp:
I appreciate that coming from you, your blazer is the cleanest I've ever seen!Just read thru you swap. Looks like you did a real nice job on it.
Thanks
I did use the advance adapter kit for the VSS on the 4L65E. It gave me the option to go from a 6 bolt to a 4 bolt pattern for my transfer case adapter. It also make the 4l the same length as the 700R4 it replaced.
If you any questions on the AC setup just ask away. Maybe I can help you from making any mistake I made and it will blow good cold air. Mine blows below 40 out the vent even when its 100 outside.
Are you using any weight distribution and sway control on your camper? A good setup can make a huge difference in how a trailer pulls.
Yes it is a parallel flow. It is from Napa part#1K200083 and you will need a gates belt K061130I did not have a weight distribution hitch on my last trip, it's in the works right now
Get a good one that has sway control built in not the on with the cheap friction bar that connects to it.
Couple questions:
Whats the part number of your compressor
Will have to look on it when I go to my shop for it.
What condenser did you use and was it parallel flow?
Was it the condensor factory dimension? Did it bolt up or did you have to make brackets?Yes it is a parallel flow. It is from Napa part#1K200083 and you will need a gates belt K061130

It is just a bit narrower, it came with new rubber mounts, you just have to move the one on the driverside over one hole in the core support.(holes were already there)Was it the condensor factory dimension? Did it bolt up or did you have to make brackets?
Thanks! Yep I found a guy that can make my hoses. I have been researching what compressor model I want, but there are too many options... thanks for the helpI was changing from R12 to 134A so I had to change all the basic stuff for that. Then i just had new hoses made to fit with the fitting for 134A.
I will check it out, thanks againThis is the kit I used.
