'89 Blazer LS swapped DD/Adventure Rig

Yes with good air flow from the electric fans it blows in the 30's out of the vents.
The amount of air flow is a must to make any AC system work well.

Need some input, y'all.

I want to move my rear axle back to recenter it in the fender well, since the shackle flip shifted it forward. I have the diy4x kit and 4.5" shackles. I know I can accomplish this with a zero rate, but I do not want to gain any lift.

Can I run a shorter shackle to compensate for the zero rate without negatively affecting ride quality?

what does the shackle angle look like currently?

The shorter you go, the more laid back it becomes. This normally causes a softer, lazier ride. You can always re-drill the centering pin and run a small degree shim to compensate for moving the axle back along the arch.

I like that option a lot since I may have to end up adjusting perches anyway due to my pinion angle, thanks

Shackle angle looks fine as of now and I am not complaining about ride quality.

In order to lose 1" I would have to shorten my shackles 2"... that leaves me with a 2.5" shackle

if your going to go to a 14sf I would do the perches, set your pinion angle and get it moved back all at once, instead of shortening the shackles.

Ideally that's what I would like to do, unless I find a smoking deal on a correctly geared 14bsf its not in the cards as of now...

Will probably just run a zero rate without shortening the shackles for now

I got the correct vss housing on my t-case and it fixed some issues I was having.. Before with the incorrect housing I had 2 HI and nothing else.

Thanks to "Jeff in co" for hooking me up with the housing, a 90-91 blazer/burb is impossible to find around here! [emoji1]

I also scored a new front driveshaft at the pnp, the splines are tight unlike my current driveshaft, it has like an inch of slack laterally...

No mine is a parallel flow. Make sure you ask for a 91 model for 134a

The first one they sent me was not a parallel flow either

Interesting, two variations of the same part number evidently.

Gonna have to break down and buy my compressor thru sanden directly. All of the units I've found online are "sanden type", not genuine.
