Just got the seal for the rear window. It should at least be waterproof today. The bed can be reinstalled once the rear window is back in. And then the work on the old quarters begins.

Thanks. It was just as fun to drive to. It was the first time out with the new suspension. It really seems to articulate over uneven terrain smoothly. Still have a few more things to button up before it is road ready though. Like centering the steering, finishing the interior, and check to see how well the rear discs are working (may need a proporting valve).

Don't listen to him ^. Put the quarters on. Are you still going to try and make it so that the old topper will go back on? That would be awesome.

It needs them for the taillights and for tire coverage. They are still removeable though.
It looks like the old topper will fit. It may need some minor trimming though.
Doing this project put a few others on the back burner. Might have to take a weekend or two off to get caught up.
There is an antifreeze leak on here that needs to be found too.

Thinking about getting to work on this again. It only been three years or so 
. Put it up one winter, went back in the spring and it would not start. So, I put it off and here we are. I did put a new starter in it and it needs fuel and a battery now but does anyone have any tips for getting it running again. Pretty sure it ran out of gas the last time it was run (couple of years ago).
Finally have some time to work on it so I would like to get it ready for next Spring.

I'll get some recent pics when I get it out of storage. Maybe tomorrow. The K5 is certainly not in its former glory of "almost done." But it is not far off either. The 39.5" Iroks on H2s were sold. I do have some 37" PBRs on some less than primo H2s that would work on it. It needs to run again and the interior needs to be finished. One molding on the door has come off as well. But it has been in a garage the whole time, so, that should have preserved it to some degree. Hard to believe it has been almost 4 years between posts.

Went and picked it up today. It really made me realize why I like these old Chevys. I put in some new fuel and a battery. Cranked it a couple of times and it started right up. It ran super smooth too 
. Other than the tires and wheels (which allow it to fit in the garage), I was pretty excited about the whole thing. Got it back to the garage and found the antifreeze leak too. So, first order of business is to fix that. Second will be to get the door windows in working order. Then get to work on the interior.

DO you have more pics of the bed? And did you reuse the Blazer tank?

There are some good pics of the bed as it progressed on post 31 to 38. If you would like a specific picture, let me know. The K5 does use the original tank. It still needs the fuel filler hooked up which is on the "to do" list. Do you have a build thread for your Blazer? I'd like to check it out.
